Global transport and logistics company DSV Air & Sea has taken a 24,760 sq ft warehouse at the recently-completed final phase of Hamilton Business Park, Hedge End, for use as a distribution centre.

The company has signed a five-year lease to occupy the unit, known as Site D2, at the park in Botley Road, which is owned, managed and developed by the Hargreaves Group of Companies. Industrial and logistics specialists at the South Coast offices of Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH), acted for Hargreaves.

Site D2 is the last unit developed at Hamilton Business Park and provides 24,760 sq ft of high quality industrial/warehouse space. The established park’s occupiers include Wickes, Magnet, Toolstation and DPD.

Adrian Whitfield, director – industrial and logistics at LSH’s Southampton office, said: “This latest phase at Hamilton Business Park is helping to meet significant demand for high-quality industrial and warehouse space in the Southampton area and across the South Coast.

“DSV Air & Sea is a huge name in the UK and around the world, and following a recent contract win, the company found the offering at Hamilton was ideal to meet its need for a new distribution centre. We are pleased to have been able to secure this location for DSV Air & Sea on behalf of Hargreaves.”

Paul Hendy, branch manager, DSV Air & Sea, Southampton, said: “Hamilton Business Park is ideally situated for us, with superb facilities and excellent transport access. As a company that is constantly aware of the need for quality logistics space, we are grateful for LSH and Hargreaves in securing this accommodation.”
