Three features of the Residential Development of the Year

The Thames Valley is home to a highly active community of residential and commercial developers responsible for ensuring the region maintains its modern and lively landscape.

At the Thames Valley Property Awards 2024, we’re looking to recognise these vital members of the region’s business community. Sponsored by B P Collins LLP, the Residential Development of the Year will be awarded to a specific housing development in the region that truly stands out from the competition.

When it comes to taking home this title, size doesn’t matter – judges will consider small brownfield developments and large housing estates. The entry could be an innovative conversion of a building too so Permitted Development (PD) schemes are eligible.

But with so many incredible developments being worked on all year round, which one will be worthy of being named the Residential Development of the Year? Here are three features we’ll be looking to see in our nominees:

Good Design – plain and simple, the quickest way to impress our independent judges is with good design. The development should stand out from others in the region and shine as a project that is met with pride by both its developers and residents.

Environmentally Conscious – in the modern world of business, sustainability is the name of the game. We’re looking for an end result that works with the environment around it and a team of experts capable of efficiently implementing sustainable practices throughout the development process.

Resilience – every development faces challenges and what is really appreciated by our independent judges is a nominee’s ability to demonstrate resilience. The winner won’t be the development that faced the fewest obstacles, but rather the one that overcame them in the most effective and innovative ways.

Think you’ve got what it takes to bring home the trophy?

Nominations are open now for a limited time; you can head over to the event page now and nominate for your chance to be crowned a winner at this year’s black-tie gala event.

With fifteen all-encompassing categories up for grabs, there’s something for everyone at the Thames Valley Property Awards 2024

Don’t miss out on the region’s property event of the year!
