Hampshire-based developers Bargate Homes is continuing its expansion with its full occupation of the 8,500 sq ft previously multi-let office in Fair Oak.

Bargate constructed the office in 2015 to EPC A standards, it was previously a multi-let operation.

The firm has reported that this expansion is to accommodate the 70-strong in-house team, which is currently working on the completion of 230 homes - a record number for Bargate.

Bargate Homes has launched four new developments during the past 10 months and sales across all sites have helped the business maintain a steady growth.

Annual turnover in the year ending March 2022 was £38 million, when 123 homes were completed. In the year ending March 2023, 140 homes were completed to achieve a £51 million turnover. The business is on track to deliver 230 homes during this financial year.

Mark White, Managing Director of Bargate Homes, said: “The growth of the Bargate business is due to the hard work of the entire team and the significant investment into our strategic landbank.

''There has never been a more challenging time to obtain residential planning consent and commence work on site, but the years of pre-construction work we have put into each of our live sites has put us in a strong position.

“Having the head count to justify taking full occupation of our office building in Fair Oak is a really positive milestone for the team. We constructed it eight years ago to meet a very high SAP rating, which is enabling us to work towards a net zero future in a meaningful way.”
