The advantages garnered even by being shortlisted or winning the award cannot be overstated. The returns amount to much, much more than placing a laurel wreath on marketing materials.

The networking aspect of the awards should not be overlooked either, the entire process brings you into contact close contact with peers you may not have met otherwise.

Winning a Business Magazine South Coast Tech Award will enhance your reputation and ultimately increase business opportunities.

Awards enhance profiles, not only in terms of social media but accolades bring your team together with a unity of purpose that lasts longer than the celebratory glasses of bubbly. Team morale is buoyed but winning companies experience a knock on effect in staff retention and in attracting new talent - everyone wants to be on a winning team.

Winner of the Marine Tech Company of the year in 2020 was Actisense, Phil Whitehurst, CEO, said of the success: "For the business and employees, the award shows that their hard work is paying off.

"It was fantastic to get recognition of this from an independent review panel."
