Magnificent 7: Housebuilders in the Thames Valley region

Housebuilding is an essential part of any well-rounded property sector, and the Thames Valley is packed with some of the most creative, professional and exciting examples in the country.

Successful housebuilding in the region has to take account of environmental issues and a need for community engagement. It must have real economic benefit, respecting the local environment and showing how good design can create places where people want to live, both young and old.

At the Thames Valley Property Awards 2024, we’re looking to recognise one particularly impressive member of the region’s property community. Sponsored by Boyes Turner, the Housebuilder of the Year will be presented to the nominee that incorporates the aforementioned aspects into its completed schemes and consistently receives positive feedback from its customers.

But with so many active housebuilders in the region, who will beat the competition and take home the trophy? Here are seven potential nominees who we think should enter this category:

Crest Nicholson

Backed by more than 60 years of invaluable experience, Crest Nicholson is passionate about building great places for its customers, communities and the environment. Renowned for its keen eye for detail and focus on promoting well-being and responsible living, the company is no stranger to winning awards.

Elegant Homes

Providing well-designed and crafted new homes to an ever-expanding network of clients throughout Berkshire and South Oxfordshire, Elegant Homes is driven to improve the lives of its customers. With an in-house team of property experts, the company holds quality brands and design excellence as core principles.

Bentier

A family-owned business that operated throughout the Thames Valley region and beyond, Bentier is well known for creating homes that its customers love to live in. Individually tailoring each unique development to suit its location and the needs of its clients, Bentier offers clients the opportunity to create their dream home with the Bentier Bespoke service.

Acute Homes

Abingdon’s Acute Homes has been finding itself in the spotlight more and more in recent years as it continues to demonstrate its ability to deliver the highest quality results. From loft conversions and home extensions to renovations and whole new builds, the company offers a wide range of services to meet your exact needs.

Lynch Brother Homes

For almost 40 years, Oxford’s Lynch Brother Homes has been bringing its clients’ dream homes to life with its highly skilled and experienced team. Propelled by outstanding testimonials and a more than impressive portfolio, the company is aware of its enviable reputation within the Thames Valley and the property sector as a whole.

Sweetcroft Homes

There are few members of the property community more environmentally conscious and acutely skilled than Sweetcroft Homes. Consistently delivering excellently unique, personal properties to greatly satisfied clients all while keeping a focus on sustainability, the company works closely with you to ensure the end result is your ideal forever home.

Darcliffe Homes

Responsible for building some of the most stunning new homes in some of the country's most exceptional locations, Darcliffe Homes has been operating in the Thames Valley for more than 50 years. A privately owned figure in the region that specialises in small to medium scale developments, the company aims to make buying your new home as straightforward as possible.

All these companies could be in with a real chance of being named the Housebuilder of the Year, but the region is brimming with excellent developers who could be potential champions at this year’s black-tie gala event.

Think you’ve got what it takes to take home the title?

Nominations for the Thames Valley Property Awards 2024 are still open for a limited time – head over to the event page now and enter for the chance to be a part of the region’s leading property event.
