Sigma Homes launches £8m West Sussex development
Horsham-based Sigma Homes has launched Hanlye View, an £8.3 million development in the village of Cuckfield.
The scheme revitalises the vacant site of Court Meadow School with 13 new detached and semi-detached homes.
The energy-efficient properties range from 1,100–1,707 square feet, with timber cladding, private gardens, parking and electric car charging points. From the outskirts of Cuckfield, Hanlye View will offer access to local amenities, as well as nearby attractions like the National Trust’s Nyman’s Gardens and Matt Gillan’s Michelan star restaurant Heritage. Sigma Homes has also made a £208,000 donation to the community towards schools, health services and other amenities.
This comes following the company’s latest Ashplats development in the West Sussex town of East Grinstead, a half-hour drive from Cuckfield.

Geoff Potton, Chief Executive at Sigma Homes, said: “We are delighted to have launched our Hanlye View scheme. The redevelopment of this site will revitalise vacant land, while enhancing the local area with much needed high-quality homes.
“This development has already received a lot of early interest, highlighting the popularity of Cuckfield and the desirability of this affluent neighbourhood. With it bordering the High Weald AONB, but also being only 45 minutes away from central London via train, future residents will be able to tap into a country lifestyle with great commuter links.
“Now that construction work is well progressed, we have released homes for sale on an off-plan basis. As there will only be 13 family houses constructed here, we would advise all those interested to get in touch with us to view and discuss the plans.”
Nine of the 13 properties are now on the market, starting at £730,000. The first of the new homes will be ready to accept new residents before the end of September 2023.
