Reading: UCEM appoint Savills to market joint venture opportunity
The Trustees of University College of Estate Management (UCEM) have announced their intention to work with a joint venture partner to create a sustainable development at Shinfield Grange, Reading, Berkshire.
Shinfield Grange has been owned by UCEM since 1989 and has been used for a variety of educational and other operational functions during the last 32 years but is no longer required for UCEM’s day-to-day activities.
The site totals 13.5 acres and is located about 2 miles south of Junction 11 of the M4. Situated on Cutbush Lane East, Shinfield Grange sits opposite the Thames Valley Science Park and adjacent to the new British Museum Archive Facility and Shinfield Studios, a new film and television production hub, which is currently under construction.
Commenting on the announcement, Amanda Clack, Chair of Trustees of UCEM said:
“The Trustees are looking to work with a partner in joint venture who shares UCEM’s vision for Shinfield Grange. This is an exciting opportunity in a rapidly changing macro and micro-location for a development partner to work with UCEM, itself a key stakeholder with a deep, rich heritage in the area.”
Savills has been appointed by UCEM to market the opportunity to identify a suitable joint venture partner.
