33 bedroom Maidenhead hotel up for sale with £2.4m price tag

The Thames Hotel in Maidenhead, owned and operated by Cliff Owen and his family, has been put on the marketplace for a guide price of £2.45 million.
This is the first time in the 30 years of the Owen family's ownership of the hotel that it has been put on the market.
Built in 1886, the hotel has 33 bedrooms, a bar and restaurant, and a terrace overlooking the River Thames.
Owner Cliff Owen said: "Whilst it is of course sad to be selling a business with which we have been involved with for almost 30 years, now is the right time to step back.
"We wish a new buyer every success during their ownership of this great and profitable hotel on the banks of the River Thames.''

The Thames Hotel was brought to the market by business property advisors Christie & Co.
Handling the sale for Christie & Co is regional hotel director Ed Bellfield who said: "The sale of The Thames Hotel represents an exceptional opportunity to acquire a highly successful hotel business with significant repeat patronage, largely due to its continued ownership and continuity within the same family since 1994.
"The reputation and success of the business is testament to the continued re-investment and family stewardship over recent decades, combined with its enviable location on the banks of the River Thames. We wish Cliff well on his retirement and the closing of a long-established chapter.”
