Primary School in Hill Brow, Reading, receives donation of laptops from Keysight Technologies

The Ridgeway Primary School in Hill Brow, Reading, received a donation of 60 laptops from Keysight Technologies, a global technology company with UK offices in Winnersh Triangle, Wokingham.

The donation, which forms part of the Keysight Technologies commitment to promoting better education in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics - included a range of leading brands and high spec equipment that will now be available for both pupils and staff to use at the school.

Deputy Headmistress Hannah Wells said:

“Making sure that every child has the best opportunity to build their IT literacy skills from an early age is so important. This generous donation really enhances our resources available to ensure that technology can play its important role in our education programme.”

Chris Trim, Keysight’s UK General Manager, added: “As a global company, within each office we’re encouraged to find causes in our local area where we can try and make a difference and give something back to the community. With a whole school of potential engineers and computer whizz kids of the future right here at Ridgeway, we’re extremely proud to be able to offer this equipment. I’m sure that the computers will help to create more than just a few sparks of creativity, perhaps even begin a lifelong passion for IT and technology that our own engineers would have experienced. In the meantime, I’m delighted that they can be used to complement the great work already delivered by the school and its staff.”
