A David Wilson Homes Mental Health First Aider is encouraging anyone facing a mental health battle to use the services provided by their employers, following the success of World Mental Health Day (10th October).
According to the mental health charity Mind, one in four people will experience a mental health problem of some kind each year in England, with one in six people reporting experiencing a common mental health issue, like anxiety and depression, in any given week.
Additional training for the company's employees was recently organised by Mental Health First Aid England. This was conducted via an online portal as a result of the pandemic restrictions at the time.
Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said:
“As the UK’s leading housebuilder, we will always offer mental health first aid training to our employees. The David Wilson Homes Mental Health First Aiders are a credit to the company and offer fantastic support to their colleagues.”
