Transatlantic law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has appointed Paul Griffiths as an associate in the restructuring and insolvency team.

Griffiths will work across the firm's Southampton and London offices, advising on contentious disputes and insolvency matters for a wide range of clients including insolvency practitioners, businesses, banks and high net-worth individuals.

Griffiths has extensive experience in handling high-value cross-border claims and specialises in insolvency litigation, to include assisting in investigations and advising on asset recovery strategies. He also provides general insolvency advice to stakeholders as well as advising on commercial and trust disputes.

Joining from law firm Campbells, where he was based in the British Virgin Islands, Griffiths worked on high-value, high-profile, cross-border insolvency, commercial litigation and fraud cases.

Griffiths said: "I am thrilled to join Womble Bond Dickinson. With the firm growing from a large UK operation into a major transatlantic firm, it feels like a fantastic time to be joining the team. WBD has an impressive client portfolio which I am looking forward to working with and growing."

Jon Hales, partner and head of WBD's Southampton office, added: "We're delighted to welcome Paul into our firm. He has an impressive array of experience and a strong track record in advising on cross border claims, which adds calibre to our already strong insolvency and litigation offering."
