5 Villages Group makes new hire to head up logistics and distribution

5 Villages Group, which operates in the logistics, distribution and manufacturing industries, has welcomed Mark Houghton to the team.

Mark brings more than 15 years’ experience in the global supply chain to his new role as managing director of 5VG’s logistics and distribution arm.

He’ll be responsible for the continued growth of the business – including Hampshire brands like Drumcross and Kitson Recycling – as well as supporting the board on special projects.

“I’m thrilled to take up this position and look forward to bringing fresh energy and innovative ideas to enhance our portfolio”, said Mark.

“I recognize the challenges ahead and the complexities of scaling multiple diverse business adventures.

“I look forward to working together with the team and building a brighter future.”

Don Iro, chair and group MD, added: “Mark is a leader in the logistics, transport and distribution sector, a business line which is pivotal for us at 5VG.

“We’re excited to have him join us at this stage in our journey and look forward to further growth in the coming months and years.”
