Jane Park-Weir has joined international legal practice Osborne Clarke as a partner in its commercial disputes team. She joins from Norton Rose Fulbright and will be based in Osborne Clarke's Reading office.

Park-Weir specialises in contentious corporate and commercial work and has over 16 years’ experience in all forms of corporate and commercial dispute resolution, investigations and providing anti-corruption corporate transaction support, including in relation to potential corruption concerns.

She has a particular focus in disputes involving shareholders, breach of directors’ duties, joint ventures (in particular LLPs), and other issues arising under the Companies Act. She works with clients to offer commercial advice and to assist them in resolving disputes and taking actions in light of internal investigations. She has significant international and domestic trial and investigations experience, and started her career working on contentious insolvency, fraud and asset tracing.

Cited by the Legal 500 2019 edition as a 'name to note' and in the 2020 edition as a 'Rising Star' in commercial litigation, Park-Weir's work spans a number of sectors with a special emphasis on advising clients in the technology, media and comms sector, particularly telecoms clients.

Park-Weir's arrival will complement Osborne Clarke's disputes and risk practice by helping expand the commercial disputes service line and allow the firm to target more technology clients and clients in the Thames Valley area.

Leona Briggs, head of Osborne Clarke's disputes and risk practice, said: "Our Disputes and Risk practice has experienced impressive revenue growth in the last three years. It's our ambition to keep growing the practice and having Jane on board will give us the bench strength to achieve this. Jane's a natural fit for the team. We're really impressed by her considerable experience and her track record in building strong client relationships."
