The publishers of The Business Magazine, Black Ox Media & Events, are to bring back the printed edition of the magazine as it looks to build its offering to readers and advertisers.

The publication will return in November with a revamped design, increased pagination and will include expansive coverage of topics of importance to the business community of the South East of England.

The magazine will be distributed to key decision makers and business hubs in the region and will be published bi-monthly covering the Thames Valley, The Solent alongside Surrey, Sussex and Kent.

The Business Magazine switched to online publication in November 2020 and has seen its digital audience grow by over 50 per cent year-on-year.

Black Ox Managing Editor, Stephen Emerson , said: "We felt the time was now right to return our print publication to offer our readers and advertisers a quality publication.

"It will complement our growing website and established listings and events programme and offer advertisers a route to an audience that is driving forward business growth in the region.

"The magazine will have quality and innovation at its heart, be sector-led and will be a hard copy reference for our readers of the companies that are breaking new ground in the region."

November edition

Headline features for the relaunched November edition of The Business Magazine include a focus on global exporting success for businesses across the region and shine a light on those achieving international growth – including a 100 Top Regional Exporters list.

The November magazine will also focus on ESG and highlight those companies determined to meet and exceed sustainability and green targets. It will also showcase the biggest developments in the region’s fast-growing TV and film studio sector, highlighting the key players investing, building and operating them.

Throughout 2023, the magazine will take a deep dive into the sectors that are reshaping the economy of the South East including Life Sciences, Gaming FinTech and GreenTech.

Black Ox Sales Director Ray Clark said: “'We are really pleased to be returning to print, our digital offering is really strong, but print offers our advertisers a different route to our increasingly engaged readers, as well as helping us to return to the print, digital and in person events full service offering that we know works really well for our clients”

Acquisitions

Black Ox acquired Gloucester-based Business & Innovation Magazine in May this year.

The editorially led publication, which has been publishing for more than five years, attracts a senior business audience across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, North Wiltshire, Bristol, Coventry and Warwickshire.

This is the second acquisition by Black Ox Media & Events this year, following the purchase of Guildford-based video and animation production studio Sightline Media in April.

Black Ox Ltd is a subsidiary of Branscombe Group, a private family owned company, which unites forward thinking media businesses and supports their growth ambitions.
