With entries arriving each day for the Solent Deals Awards, organisers have given firms an extended period to complete their nominations. The deadline is now March 15.

Judges meet on April 11 to consider the entries. The panel, which includes independent judges, will have hundreds of nominations to peruse as they discuss who will make the shortlist.

Held every year at the Hilton at Ageas Bowl, Hedge End, Southampton, the Solent Deals Awards brings together corporate finance advisers, lawyers, bankers, private equity investors, accountants, and funding specialists – plus of course the management teams that have led the deals themselves.

The 300 dealmakers who attend the dinner get to vote on the night too – for the Deals of the Year (small, mid-range and large).

Event sponsors include BDB Pitmans, BDO, Blake Morgan, CMA Recruitment, Clarke Willmott, Coffin Mew, HSBC UK, Meridian Corporate Finance, Taylor Made Computer Solutions and Quantuma.

This year's awards dinner is on May 23 - tables are priced at £1,800 and individual tickets at £190 ex VAT.
