Reflex Ltd, the Reading-based full service audio visual integrator, has been bought by Aura Futures a leading consultancy and technology provider.
Aura was first formed in March 2020 through the merger of workflow and managed print specialist Karlson, and award-winning digital media solutions provider Intevi, backed by Baird Capital, and led by an ex-FTSE 100 management team. The company works with medium- to large-sized organisations such as Estee Lauder, Harvey Nichols, Mizuho Bank, Societe Generale, Southampton Football Club and Expedia to optimise their connected workspaces.
William Jepps, MD, Reflex Ltd, said: “We’ve had approaches from various businesses over the years, but it was important to us that our team would be able to keep doing what they do best – providing an exemplary end-to-end AV integration service – so it wasn’t until Aura reached out to us that a buy-out was even on the cards.
“Aura’s purpose, values and culture were strong deciding factors, as we wanted to be sure of the right fit. I’m looking forward to this next chapter for our business, as it promises to be a very positive time of growth for us all.”
Alpesh Unalkat, Aura CEO, said: “I’m delighted to welcome the Reflex team into our organisation. Aura’s integrated offering will be yet further strengthened by their specialist expertise and excellent reputation across the higher education, public sector and corporate markets, laying the groundwork for future success and growth.”
“COVID-19 has shifted attitudes to remote working, accelerated interest in hybrid models, and made the use of collaborative workspace technology the hottest topic for discussion in boardrooms across all sectors,” he added. “There’s been a significant uptick in interest when it comes to connecting physical and digital workspaces for better productivity, collaboration and economy – and, ultimately, profitability. Planning for our growth is a necessity in today’s marketplace. Reflex is well-positioned to join us in our journey to the next level of success, and I’m excited about what the future holds for Aura.”
