James Cowper Kreston’s Corporate Finance team has provided transaction support to Piper Private Equity on its minority investment in Mous, the fast growing direct-to-consumer tech accessories brand.

With two highly skilled product development teams – one in the UK, the other in China – Mous has designed some of the most innovative phone accessories in the world. Mous’ hero product is its range of protective phone cases that have been designed to offer exceptional protection and industry-leading functionality without compromising on style, standing them apart from others in the market.

Piper Private Equity is an equity investment firm founded by entrepreneurs, and is a team of brand experts who have grown over 40 global brands across 70 countries, grown digital sales by over £300 million and opened more than 250 stores, restaurants and bars.

James Cowper Kreston’s transaction services team undertook financial and tax due diligence for Piper on this transaction.

Brad McAvoy, corporate finance director at James Cowper Kreston, said: “We were excited to be involved in Piper’s investment in such an innovative brand as Mous. With this investment, the passion and goals of Mous can now be realised. We look forward to working with Piper again as they look for more exciting brand opportunities.”
