National accountancy firm Saffery has been announced as a lead sponsor of the adidas HOP Tour 2024.
The Home Of Padel (HOP) Tour comprises a series of one-day padel tournaments for club level players, following a knockout format.
Events are free to attend for spectators, with the aim of showcasing the sport of padel to the wider community.
Home Of Padel was founded in 2021 by national GB padel coach John Leach and former UK padel tour number one Javi Serrats.
The tour began in Harrogate in February and will visit clubs in Slough, Ilford, Manchester, Oxford and Roehampton.
The next event is at Padel Hub, Slough on 5 May, offering an £800 prize for the winners in the HOP Pro category, while MVP Oxford will host on 8 June.
John and Javi said: “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Saffery, bringing them on board as one of the lead partners of the adidas HOP Tour.
“Saffery shares our ambitions for growth as an organisation and is passionate about promoting wellbeing activities such as padel.
“With Saffery’s support, we wish to continue shaping the future of UK padel.”
Sheryl Davis, partner at Saffery, added: “We want to support padel as it’s a fast-growing sport which is not only a fun and social way to get fit, but is very inclusive, low-cost to play, and anyone can have a go.
“I’ve no doubt this tour will inspire many new players.
“Saffery’s sponsorship also reflects our commitment to the health and wellbeing of our people, so we’re looking forward to attending the tournament and hope that some of our team will give padel a try.”
