Southampton FC seek sports tech and Web3 startups

Southampton FC is currently inviting applications from Web3 and sports tech startups for its new Future of Football challenge.

The club is looking for new solutions in either football development or fan engagement which are ready to be tested (therefore either ready to go to market or already there), with a £100,000 prize pool up for grabs.

Companies selected to take part may also receive the opportunity to secure a commercial relationship with the club by the end of the programme; access to decisions makers at Southampton FC and its owner (Sport Republic); testing in a live team and fan environment; developmental workshops; and 6-10 hours per week of one-to-one meetings where the product can be tested and piloted.

The deadline for applications for the four-week programme is 23 February 2023, with the final challenge expected to close on 3 May 2023.
