CityFibre, which has been working with Reading’s businesses this year and helping to growing the city’s economy, has announced that it is pleased by EY’s newly-released report: "UK Region and City economic forecast” *, which predicts that Reading will be the UK’s fastest-growing city over the next three years.
Nick Gray, city development manager at CityFibre, offered the following comment: “CityFibre has been working in the heart of Reading’s business community this year, and we have seen first-hand that the growth and aspiration for businesses in the area has been unstoppable. There has been a demand for regeneration and development, that is why we supplied our fibre networking to businesses – to give Reading the same edge as other digitally-advanced cities like Hong Kong and Tokyo.
"The fact that this town has surpassed the economic growth rate of our capital London is impressive to say the least. Reading’s appetite for success, diversity and progression has been proven, and we’re glad to say we are about to make the town even more competitive.
"We’ve seen a development of ventures across the arts and business sectors, and we’re delighted to be offering something new to the area too. CityFibre is passionate about empowering businesses to innovate and we know that’s only possible by the development of technology, so we’re proud to contribute our gigabit speed internet connectivity to help Reading’s economy grow into the future.”
