The partnership will complement the FE college's 'Net Zero Skills Hub' and will train retrofit advisors, assessors and coordinators to help upgrade and improve millions of homes.
The hub offers a blend of online learning and on-site training, which is delivered by industry experts across four different levels of qualification.
There is the introductory ‘Level 2 Award in Understanding Domestic Retrofit’, while the ‘Level 3 Award in Domestic Retrofit Advice’ and level 4 and 5 qualifications, equip all those who want to develop a career in the retrofit industry.
It is estimated that 400,000 new people are required within the retrofit sector so the partnership aims to help fill the skills gap.
