Yo Telecom looks to grow Southampton base
Southampton-based telecoms firm Yo Telecom has submitted an application to expand its head office.
The application, submitted to Southampton City Council, would see the roof of the current building removed to add a new first floor along with a second floor kitchen and staff restaurant complete with a roof garden.
The plans, drawn up by Eastleigh-based Patterson Reeves & Partners and Southampton-based Ian Wood Design Consultant, would also see the building’s exposed brick walls rendered and painted while the new walls would be provided with vertical fibre cement board cladding and glass balustrading would protect occupiers of the roof garden.
In the application submitted to the council, the company says it is looking to improve its premises as it has not found any other suitable sites on the market and feels it currently lacks sufficient space and flexibility.
