Work begins on Poole City Centre housing development
Demolition work has commenced ahead of a major housing development in Poole City Centre.
Developer Fortitudo Ltd are constructing the £24million eight storey project at the corner of Parkstone Road and Longfleet Road. The development comprises a total of 118 properties, 91 one and 27 two bed homes.
Former tenants, Trethowans Solicitors have recently relocated away from the property.
Plans also include an underground car park, with EV charging capabilities, totalling 69 parking spaces and a cycle bay.
The new development is close to Poole railway station, Poole town centre and Poole Park. Developers previously told council that the development would contribute to the economic, social and environmental wellbeing of Poole.
Demolition of the existing buildings on the site was approved in November 2020 and is now underway.
It is expected the work will be completed in late 2024.
