Rentplus-UK ltd and South Devon Rural Housing have signed an agreement to construct affordable rent-to-buy schemes in South Devon, Dorset and Somerset.
The deal, which was completed under the advisement of law firm Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) will offer a pathway to homeownership for working families on low or middle incomes in the region.
The WBD team was led by legal director Samantha Orluta, who specialises in the delivery of residential housing development for clients across the UK. Womble Bond Dickinson is a transatlantic law firm with more than 1,000 lawyers operating from 27 UK and US office locations.
Samantha commended: "We're delighted to have advised our client on this exciting partnership with South Devon Rural Housing. This is a significant development for Rentplus and marks another big step in its journey to deliver award winning affordable rent-to-buy homes in every English county.
"Our legal expertise in real estate alongside our understanding of the local market enabled us to secure the best possible outcome for our client."
Steve Collins, Rentplus CEO, said: "Our new partnership with South Devon Rural Housing continues our ambitious plans to deliver affordable rent to buy homes across the south. These much needed new homes will make a vital contribution to helping the area's working families onto an affordable pathway to homeownership without the need for an upfront deposit.
"We're grateful to the WBD team for their continued support and the quality advice we have come to expect from the firm."
