A Coventry plumbing and heating company is planning future growth following a move to new premises in the city.

Nu-Age Heating & Interiors has relocated from its former base in Earlsdon to a 1,041 sq ft unit at Kingswood Close Industrial Estate in Holbrooks.

The company was helped in its move to the city council-owned property by Holt Commercial.

This latest deal is part of a hattrick of lettings at Kingswood Close, where all ten units on the estate have now been let.

Nu-Age, which is run by Daniel Hayes and Kieran Masterson and employs 13 members of staff including seven engineers and five apprentices, has invested five figures in fitting out the property to create office space and a mezzanine floor for storage.

The company provides a range of plumbing, refurbishments and heating services – including air conditioning – to homeowners, landlords, homebuilders, property developers and architects, and has now expanded into offering electrical services.

Daniel said: “We’re delighted to have made the move to Kingswood Close.

“We’ve taken enough space to be able to grow even further over the next few years and we’re really pleased with the location.

“The company was started by Kieran in 2019 and then I joined three years ago having worked in London.

“We’ve both got many years of experience in this industry, and we’re really keen to bring through the next generation, which is why we have five apprentices.

“I started as an apprentice myself – I’d actually applied for 500 jobs back in 2010 and couldn’t find one. The local paper ran a story on me and a one-man-band took me on.

“Giving me that chance back then means I can do the same for others now.”

Daniel also praised Ed Jenkinson at Holt Commercial for helping with the move.

“He made sure he answered all of our questions promptly and was always at the end of the phone for us.”

Ed added: “We’re really pleased to have completed this hattrick of deals.

“The units are small, industrial/warehouse properties, and if you ask anyone in the industry, they’re extremely popular at the moment.

“So it’s great that we were able to bring these to market for Coventry City Council and to get them all let.

“Nu-Age’s arrival is the final piece in the jigsaw, and we wish the company every success with its plans for growth.”

Cllr Jim O’Boyle, cabinet member for jobs, regeneration and climate change, said: “It’s great that all of our units at Kingswood Close are fully let, and its lovely to hear such a local success story for Daniel personally and for Nu-Age Heating & Interiors.

“Units like this are in high demand. They’re often used by local independent businesses who employ local people and who work in the local area, so they’re a real win all around.

“I wish Daniel and Kieran every success for the future.”
