Reading-based Country Estates Group has appointed Matthew Jeal as director of both its residential division, Darcliffe Homes, and commercial division, Country Estates, where he will oversee all land and planning activities to help drive the ongoing expansion of the business in the Thames Valley region.

Jeal originally joined the company in 2012 as land and planning manager and brings over 10 years’ experience in the development industry to his new role.

Joint managing director Graham Denton commented: “Matthew has played a crucial part in moving the business forward over the past few years and we wanted to recognise his achievements.  He must be credited with the success of our next development in Spencers Wood and he will be instrumental in driving more projects like this as the business expands.”

Jeal said: “I am delighted to be made a director and am looking forward to building on the success of the company as it continues to expand over the coming years. The business has ambitious growth plans, particularly as we move further into the residential market.”
