The Romans Group has recently appointed Nigel Deller as business development consultant and Peter Tappin as land and new homes manager.

Deller’s position is a new role with the task of sourcing opportunities for all areas of the growing business.

He joins Romans after being involved in the residential property market across Berkshire and North Hampshire since 1976, both in estate agency, in sourcing land for the development of new builds, and the conversion of commercial and redundant farm buildings.

Working closely with Romans’ land and auctions teams, Dellar will be using Romans’ diverse and unique framework of property services to source leads for potential land development, auction lots with regards to probate, letting investment and mixed use, and finding new letting acquisitions.

Tappin, land and new homes manager, will be based in Guildford, covering Surrey, Sussex and North Hampshire.

The new role follows the successful merger of Meldrum Salter Edgley (MSE) into the Romans Group in June 2015. Tappin had previously been a partner and head of residential sales at MSE and is a well-recognised face in the Guildford property market.

As well as Guildford, his experience covers a broad area including Surrey, the Thames Valley and South West London where he has been involved in the sale of land and property for over 33 years.

Tappin’s extensive knowledge of the industry and local area are a key strength in advising home and land owners together with local and regional developers. This, and the commitment to providing an outstanding quality of advice, won him 'Property Professional of the Year' in 2014, an award voted for by clients and the general public.
