Leading South Coast developer Highwood Group has appointed three new members of staff and promoted another to director following a period of expansion and construction successes that have seen the organisation thrive in recent years.

Highwood’s managing director, Guy Hayward, has announced the promotion of Elliot Lord to commercial director and paid tribute to the contribution he will continue to make to the organisation in his new role.

"Elliot will be responsible for the surveying, estimating and procurement departments and provide further support to the directors at board level. The sound commercial knowledge he has acquired over many years in the industry will provide the platform for him to establish a strong and commercially astute team ready for the growth we will look set to achieve in the coming years."

Trish Olaofe has been appointed customer care manager for Highwood Homes, a role that will see her experience and an already established customer support career with other national housebuilders put to great use as buyers’ interest in Highwood Homes’ residential developments continues to strengthen.

As Highwood’s expansion sees its workforce grow, Jess Watts-Forte has joined the organisation as the Group’s HR manager. Formerly HR manager at Waitrose’s regional distribution centre, Watts-Forte's role will see her continue to manage all aspects of HR and personnel development policies and processes.

Matt Hess is Highwood Construction’s new site manager for the Durrants Village retirement community project in Faygate, West Sussex. Having spent several years since university employed with various housebuilders in the UK and overseas in Borneo, Africa, New Zealand and Australia, Hess will be in place for the final phases of the project to build a substantial collection of luxury apartments and cottages. The project is scheduled for completion towards the end of 2018 (http://highwoodgroup.co.uk/construction/current-projects/durrants-village-faygate-west-sussex/).
