Reading: Hollis Hockley opens office at Arlington Business Park
Hollis Hockley has opened a Reading office at Arlington Business Park, to augment its Farnborough and Basingstoke offices.
Patron Capital and APAM have also appointed Hollis Hockley as joint leasing agents alongside Savills and BNP Paribas Real Estate on the park, which totals 365,000 sq ft across 11 buildings.
The park has undergone a programme of significant investment over the past four years, to include a new café and amenity area, ‘Pavilion’ floating meeting room, enhanced landscaping, common areas and signage, as well as events and tenant community engagement run by a dedicated on site team.
Three well-known South East office agents have joined Neil Hockley as equity partners at Hollis Hockley.
Chris Barrs has left Avison Young and Rhodri Shaw and Jeremy Metcalfe have left BNP Paribas Real Estate to join the group which is a leading player in the M3 market.
The trio are spearheading expansion to offer a Western Corridor focus.
Jeremy Metcalfe, partner at Hollis Hockley, said: "Arlington Business Park was an obvious choice for us to base our Reading operation. It offers best in class office space and amenities and along with fast and traffic free access to the M4 and the wider Thames Valley."
Chris Barrs, partner at Hollis Hockley, added: "‘We are delighted to be appointed on such a prestigious leasing instruction in our core market. Hollis Hockley now advise on more business park space in the Thames Valley than any other adviser and we are looking forward to playing a key role in the continued success of Arlington Business Park."
Chris Taylor, director at APAM, added: "Hollis Hockley have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the Thames Valley market and we are very happy to retain them as our advisers. The newly delivered refurbishments at the award winning Building 1320 and Building 1220, will soon be complemented by the completion of 38,000 sq ft in Building 1330, allowing the park to offer a range of floorplates sizes, finishes and flexibility to match tenant demand. We have welcomed 19 new tenants to the park over the past four years, representing 140,000 sq ft of take up. Given the quality of the refurbishments completing and the wider vibrant community offer on the park we are confident further occupiers will be attracted to the park over the next 12 months."
Hollis Hockley, BNP PRE and Savills are appointed as leasing agents.
