St. Modwen has secured planning consent for three new warehousing and distribution units, totalling 94,545 sq ft, at it’s Nunnery Park development in Worcester.

The 20-acre mixed-use development is already home to a number of leading businesses and onsite amenities including a restaurant, pub, petrol station and convenience store.

Outline plans were submitted in late 2018 and St. Modwen won permission for the site in April 2019, as agreed by Worcester City Council’s planning committee. Work is due to begin on site in July 2019.

Conveniently located equidistant between junctions 6 & 7 of the M5 motorway, the three new units will provide high-quality warehousing and distribution space in a prime location, and could create over 130 jobs in the area.

James Irwin-Singer, Development Manager for St. Modwen, said: “This planning consent further highlights our continued investment in Worcestershire. Demand for conveniently located warehousing and industrial space continues to grow in the area, particularly for medium-sized units located close to the workforce and amenities. This final phase at Nunnery Park will allow us to meet occupier requirements and expand our quality offering.

"When the units complete in Spring 2020, St. Modwen has further plans to develop in Worcester, including a new “Broomhall Business Park” providing around 180,000 sq ft of prime commercial space off Broomhall Way, Worcester.
