O2 set to leave Slough after 15 years
Virgin Media O2 is planning to move to a new headquarters in Paddington this year, which will see the closure of the O2 head office in Slough which in opened in 2008.
With its site in Hammersmith, London, also closing by the end of the year, all employees will relocate to the new Paddington office and the Green Park, Reading office which opened in 2019.
Those working at the O2 retail store in Slough will continue at a new location, with no redundancies expected to be made as part of the relocations.

A statement from Virgin Media O2 states: “This major investment from Virgin Media O2 will provide future-proof spaces for colleagues to work and collaborate while meeting the evolving needs of the business. It’s being designed to support the existing flexible working policies.
“The latest technology and connectivity are being integrated into the office, while also acting as a centrally located, vibrant space where teams can get together in person. The building, which is currently undergoing a full refurbishment, will also benefit from environmentally friendly technology such as air source heat pumps.”
Patricia Cobian, Virgin Media O2’s Chief Financial Officer, said: “These two incredible offices in Reading and London are an important step in our integration plans that will support our flexible working culture while bringing the buzz back to the office and creating exciting new opportunities for our people to collaborate.”
