More warehousing for Magna Park, Poole
Planning consent has been given for two warehouses in Poole, Dorset.
Magna 20 and Magna 30 are to be built at Magna Park, Magna Road, to high specifications, with a solar array providing nearly a third of baseline energy use.
Bryony Thompson, an associate the Bournemouth office of property consultancy Vail Williams, said: “The demand for new-build commercial property with environmental credentials grows ever stronger and Magna Park is a shining example of policy in action.
“Following planning consent, the two self-contained warehouses are to be constructed to a Very Good rating under BREEAM sustainability certification.”
Magna 20 will be just under 22,000 sq ft (2,040 sq m), with an office mezzanine, 240 kVA power supply, 36 parking spaces and a secure 36m yard depth.
Magna 30 will be just under 31,500 sq ft (2,925 sq m), with an office mezzanine, 340 kVA power supply, 51 parking spaces and a secure 46m yard depth.
Bryony added: “With the green credentials, which also lower occupancy running costs, and the strategic location, we anticipate keen interest from companies looking to relocate from older industrial buildings or wanting to establish a presence here in Dorset.
“The warehouses are minutes from the A31 linking to the international ports of Southampton and Portsmouth and the national motorway network to the east and the A35 to the west. ”
Vail Williams, Lambert Smith Hampton and Howell Commercial are the scheme’s marketing agents.
