Waterside Quarter, the third and final phase of Shanly Homes’ landmark regeneration scheme in Maidenhead, Chapel Arches, was officially opened by Cllr Sayonara Luxton, the mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, at a VIP ribbon cutting event.

The celebration came as a new marketing suite and specification suite opened for the first time to potential purchasers keen to see the interior design and high specification on offer.

Waterside Quarter comprises 182 new apartments in Maidenhead town centre, part of a large-scale redevelopment project. The whole Chapel Arches scheme together – Waterside Quarter, The Picturehouse and Chapel Wharf – brings to the town a total of 259 new homes and 30,000 sq ft of commercial space. Current occupiers at phases one and two include restaurant Coppa Club and Bakedd, an artisan bakery and coffee shop offering freshly-baked products.

Stewart Kirk, managing director (Thames Valley) at Shanly Homes, said: “Shanly would like to thank Cllr Luxton for cutting the ribbon to officially open our new marketing suite and specification suite at Waterside Quarter as we look forward to welcoming potential purchasers in the coming weeks. This is an exciting development, and we’re thrilled to finally bring the third and final phase of this flagship scheme to market.”

Cllr Luxton, mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, who unveiled the new specification suite and marketing suite, said: “The impact Shanly Homes’ Chapel Arches has had on Maidenhead is clear to see. The development has improved this part of the town centre drastically, from lifting the streetscape to delivering some amazing commercial amenities, which have driven footfall and increased Maidenhead’s status as a destination.”

The one-, two- and three-bedroom homes at Waterside Quarter benefit from a stylish specification including fully-fitted kitchens complete with integrated appliances. Bedrooms have space maximised by way of built-in wardrobes, and master bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

Designed to complement the local vernacular, the homes are in an unrivalled location overlooking the rejuvenated waterways in the centre of the town, with easy access to the amenities such as shops, restaurants and the railway station.

Residents will benefit from improved connectivity when Crossrail opens at Maidenhead train station in 2021. Local commuters travelling into the capital can already reach London Paddington in 19 minutes, however, the high-speed rail network will dramatically improve journey times with direct services to London Liverpool Street in just 46 minutes. In addition to the excellent rail links, the nearby M4 provides access to Heathrow in half an hour and connections with the M25 and motorway links across the country.

Prices at Waterside Quarter start from £285,000.

Celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2019, award-winning housebuilder Shanly Homes, part of the Shanly Group, is a privately-owned regional housebuilder based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
