Jackson Family Funeral Directors are proud to support this year’s St Richard’s Hospice ‘Lights of Love’ services held at Pershore Abbey on Thursday 28th November, and Great Malvern Priory on Tuesday 10th December. Sponsoring refreshments is just a small way of offering our comfort to those grieving for a loved one, on an occasion that will be moving and emotional for the community.
St Richard’s Hospice ‘Lights of Love’ is a celebration of those we have lost with hundreds of twinkling lights at services across the county. Supporting those who are remembering the lives of their loved ones, Jacksons are providing hot drinks and biscuits both at the Pershore Abbey service and the Great Malvern Priory service.
Claire James, Fundraiser at St Richard’s, said: “These moving, community services are deeply comforting for the people who attend. Many people joining the services have had family or friends cared for by the hospice.
“We find each service unites people in their shared experience of missing a loved one, while providing support and solace through lighting a candle and taking time to reflect.
“Last year, more than 2,600 names were dedicated and £55,134 was raised to help support our specialist care for people living with a serious progressive illness, their families and bereaved people across Worcestershire. We are so grateful for the continued support of the community.”
Laura Jackson, Director at Jackson Family Funeral Directors explains, “The loss of a loved one can be a very traumatic and lonely experience. We see first-hand how powerful community spirit can be to give strength to families when they need it most. Supporting the ‘Lights of Love’ services is just a small way we can help celebrate loved ones in a unique experience”.
Jackson Family Funeral Directors, which is now one of the very few family owned funeral directors in Worcestershire, works tirelessly to build a community which celebrates life through core family values, honesty and integrity.
