Guildford Plaza and Bargate Quarter developer goes into administration
The firm behind major housing development Guildford Plaza in Guildford and the Bargate Quarter in Southampton has gone into administration, and work has ground to a halt.

The Guildford Plaza scheme was to provide 300 single occupancy rooms across four multi-storey buildings in the centre of the town, while the Bargate Quarter was to have delivered over 500 homes.
But Henry Construction Projects – the developer behind both projects – has gone into administration, with FRP Advisory taking control of the firm on Thursday evening.
UK real estate investor Tellon Capital assured locals that the collapse of Henry Construction Projects would only delay the project, and that it was looking for new construction partners.

Tiger Developments, which owns the Guildford site, could not be reached for comment.
