Telereal Trillium has confirmed that its proposals for the major redevelopment of a brownfield site in Farnborough have been approved by Rushmoor Borough Council at committee.

This proposed redevelopment of Meudon House on Meudon Avenue will deliver 205 high-quality new homes in central Farnborough, comprising 93 one bedroom flats; 80 two bedroom flats and 32 three bedroom townhouses. It further comes with 372 parking spaces, cycle storage, extensive landscaping and public space.

The decision by Rushmoor Borough Council paves the way for the demolition of the existing Meudon House, a two-floor office building covering an area of 80,808 square feet, which has been disused since June 2016, when IBM vacated the premises.

The development will create a new community in Farnborough, improving the vitality and viability of the town centre and supporting the Council’s vision for the Civic Quarter.

Duncan Brisbane, development director at Telereal Trillium, said: “We’re very pleased that councillors have backed our plans for the redevelopment of Meudon House. This site has been vacant for a number of years and will now be able to make a positive contribution to the town once again, offering new apartments and houses in a range of sizes in a great location.”

The redevelopment of the site is expected to get underway in 2019.

Telereal Trillium was advised by GL Hearn.
