Ethical Property creates free workspace initiative to support purpose-driven organisations
Streamline at Paintworks, the Bristol workspace by Ethical Property for organisations with a shared commitment to social change, is launching a Care to Share competition to win an office space for an entire year.
Ethical Property, which owns and manages nineteen centres across nine UK cities, including three in Bristol, is offering an opportunity for purpose- and cause-related start-ups to work among likeminded organisations and individuals.
The initiative has been launched as more people are wanting to move back into a workspace and away from full time home working.
The successful organisation will be given a place in Share space – an open plan shared workspace within Streamline. It has been designed to create a home-from-home for freelancers and small groups that want to be part of collaborative workspaces, and communal amenities.
The Care to Share initiative will provide one lucky organisation with free workspace for up to two people for one year and a second prize of a free workspace for one or two people for three months. The chosen organisations will also be given access to Ethical Property’s monthly networking, webinar and events series called ‘Exchangers’.
The winners’ workspaces are located in the Streamline Share space, an open plan space housing a variety of ethical organisations. The building also has a range of enclosed office spaces, ranging from 4 person to 60-person capacity and 14 square meters to 290 square meters to accommodate ‘changemaker’ organisations of all sizes.
Sarah Campbell, Ethical Property’s regional manager South West and Wales said: "We know that the past two years have been incredibly tough for many, with organisations facing financial challenges that have forced them out of workspaces, and into working disparately.
“Bristol is brimming with vibrant and forward-thinking organisations; social enterprises, changemakers and businesses with real purpose. We want to give these people a chance to enhance their working environment with one that inspires creative thinking.
"We also understand that there are still barriers that exist to those with disabilities, and our whole ethos is one of inclusivity; reflected in the accessible design of all our sites.
“This is a great opportunity to be a part of a truly special environment and use that to help to grow and motivate real change and positive work. Entry is simple and can be done online, explaining a bit about your work and why you think you’d benefit from this prize, and fit with the Ethical Property ethos."
Entry is via a simple online survey which will take just five minutes to complete https://www.ethicalproperty.co.uk/share-desk-competition. Entries must be submitted before midnight on the April 24.
