Countryside Partnerships acquires land for 250 Coventry homes
Mixed tenure developer Countryside Partnerships has completed the acquisition of a 31-acre site where it plans to deliver the first phase of its new development at Eastern Green.
The land at Pickford Green Lane is allocated for development in the Coventry Local Plan. It is set to provide up to 250 of the 2,400 new homes planned for the wider project, which covers 353 acres.
Pickford Gate, as Countryside has dubbed the scheme, will feature a new primary school, district and local community centres, a transport hub, and extensive open spaces.

Hallam Land Management secured outline planning permission for the whole Eastern Green development in 2021. The recent purchase was facilitated by development and property agency Newton LDP on behalf of Countryside.
Richard Foxon, Managing Director at Newton LDP, said: “Having personally worked with the landowners for more than 15 years, I am really pleased to have finally reached this milestone.
“Countryside Partnerships was selected as the preferred purchaser due to its high-quality design and placemaking qualities, which should help create an attractive gateway to this exciting new community.
“This will not only help to facilitate much-needed new homes for the region including at least 25 per cent affordable housing, but will also contribute significantly to the local economy with new investment, job opportunities and growth.”
Countryside plans to open show homes for the development towards the end of 2023.
