Cinch Self Storage poised to open new site in Swindon - reports
South East-focused Cinch Self Storage has boosted its portfolio of sites and is poised to open a new huge facility in Swindon, according to reports.
The firm, which now employs over 40 full-time staff, has reportedly bought the brownfield site at Cheney Manor Industrial Estate to the north west of the Wiltshire town's centre.

Co-founder Richard Owen was quoted as saying: "We are delighted to be adding a new spacious site to our growing portfolio and bringing our self- storage offering to residents and businesses in Swindon.
"Today our portfolio exceeds 850,000 sq ft of assets in operation or development, and we are continually on the lookout for opportunities to acquire additional sites.
"With a firm eye on sustainability, we have designed the facility with the needs and priorities of local businesses in mind.
"Through regenerating a neglected brownfield site, implementing a number of environmentally-friendly, and offering ideal work spaces for entrepreneurs and businesses – Cinch Storage Swindon will offer win-wins for the local economy and the environment.”
The website BusinessLive said Cinch Self Storage had said the new building was scheduled to open last next year and would provide 68,000 sq ft of lettable space for domestic and business customers.
More than 700 units will be available for use as self-storage rooms, workshops, retail units, as well as office spaces for companies, it added.
The company currently has nine self-storage facilities under development, with three expected to open later in 2023.
