Just two months after the acquisition of both Jacksons Residential in Henley-on-Thames and Caroline Clark & Associates in Sunninghill, the Romans Group has expanded further with the acquisition of Sherriff Mountford’s two estate and lettings branches in Burnham and Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, marking the Group’s first foothold into the county.

Sherriff Mountford co-founder Paul Sherriff commented: “Romans' knowledge and experience within the local property market stood out to me and the Group shares the key principles that we value the most – offering professional and expert advice on the local property market."

He said that Sherriff Mountford will benefit from investment in information technology, training, intensive marketing and the numerous services also available to customers on top of sales and lettings, including: investment advice, conveyancing, planning, surveying, auction sales and mortgage advice.

“We’re predicting a lot more activity, specifically in Burnham, over the coming years due to the addition of the Crossrail,” said Peter Fuller, managing director of Romans Lettings, “so it’s an exciting time for us to expand our local network and move into these new, desirable areas."

Expanding its portfolio of estate and letting agencies has been high on the agenda for the Romans Group with seven successful acquisitions already under its belt since 2013 and a £12 million finance facility from its bankers available for more business purchases.

Fuller said that with extensive acquisition experience in the local area, capacity and financing facility, Romans is ready and able to consider any acquisition opportunity, and plans to accelerate its rate of growth.
