Top 100 accountancy practice Shaw Gibbs, based in Oxford, has advised the shareholders of The Revival Group on the sale of the company to MA Group.

Aylesbury-based The Revival Group supports property owners who have been affected by floods, escape of water or fire damage. The company works closely with insurance providers and loss adjustors to ensure the reinstatement of homes and their contents following a disaster. It offers a fire and flood restoration service through a national network of offices and franchised branches.

MA Group is a leading property claims management business. It specialises in property claims handling for insurers and intermediaries and property repair and maintenance services for property owners and their agents..

Graham Orriss, chairman of The Revival Group, said: “Having spent many years building a national franchise network offering the very highest standards of service to the Insurance claims market, we decided that time had moved on and the business needed rejuvenating and being given the opportunity to expand into a larger network.

"The process of selling a business is not fast or easy, but the support of the Shaw Gibbs Corporate Finance Team in finding opportunities and helping us through the complexities of the process to completion was magnificent and took a huge weight off our shoulders.”

Paul Hayman, CEO of MA Group, said: “Our strategic focus over the last few years has been to build a robust, reliable and resilient capacity to deliver world class, efficient and effective property claim handling services to our chosen markets. This acquisition will allow the MA Group to capitalise on having three key assets under one roof being validation, restoration and property fulfilment services.

"This acquisition means that we can offer our clients a differentiated proposition by having an integrated service that will eliminate the need for inefficient hand offs throughout the claims process, improving the claims journey for customers.”
