Thames Valley law firm Clifton Ingram expands its Corporate and Commercial Team

Leading Thames Valley law firm Clifton Ingram has expanded its busy and growing Corporate and Commercial offering with the additions of Martin Reynolds, Lily Holland and Rebekah Sutcliffe to the team.

Having acquired Bells Solicitors in Farnham in June 2021, Clifton Ingram, a Top Tier Legal 500 firm, now operates across three offices: Wokingham, Reading and Farnham.

Following a highly productive 18 months, Barry Niven, Partner and Head of Corporate and Commercial for Clifton Ingram made the decision to expand the team. Barry commented “It’s been an exciting time for Clifton Ingram as we continue to grow the Company and Commercial Team rapidly. We have seen a dramatic increase in the level and quality of instructions in the team over the last 18 months and the timing of Martin, Lily and Rebekah’s arrival could not be better. Our success means we have been able to attract and retain talented solicitors to further support our existing clients, new clients and build our network with local professionals.”

Newly appointed Senior Associate Martin Reynolds brings 20 years of experience of advising clients on acquisitions and disposals of businesses – whether by way of transfer of shares or sale of assets, restructuring of share capital, shareholder agreements and general governance issues. He also advises on matters relating to partnerships (LLPs and general partnerships), corporate insolvency and general commercial contracts.

Lily Holland joins the team having recently completed her training contract at a leading Thames Valley firm. Lily brings a fresh perspective to the team and a high attention to detail. Lily has assisted on a wide range of corporate transactions including business and share acquisitions and disposals in a number of different sectors and has advised on share buybacks, joint venture and shareholders’ agreements as well as negotiating and drafting bespoke commercial contracts, terms and conditions of trading, distribution agreements and software contracts.

Rebekah joined Clifton Ingram in 2018 as a paralegal in the Corporate & Commercial Team. After completing a corporate focussed training contract, Rebekah qualified into the department in April 2022. She gained experience in all aspects of corporate transactions and regularly advises owner managed businesses and SMEs on a wide range of corporate matters.
