Gamma Communications in Newbury promotes and recruits to drive growth
Gamma Communications plc, the Newbury-headquartered IT and communications business, has promoted Andrew Belshaw from Chief Financial Officer to Deputy Chief Executive, with Bill Castell taking over his financial role at the company from Ovo Energy, where he is currently Chief Financial Officer. Bill is expected to join the company in May next year.
Before joining OVO Energy in 2020, Bill spent three years at Virgin Media which he joined as Deputy Chief Financial Officer and later became acting Chief Financial Officer. From 2005 to 2017, Bill was at Barclays Bank where he held a number of senior finance roles including Chief Financial Officer at Barclays Corporate Bank and Chief Financial Officer of Barclaycard Europe.
Andrew Belshaw's move to Deputy Chief Executive will take place when Bill joins the Company.

In September, the company released unaudited results for the six months ended 30 June revealing that revenues rose by 23 per cent to £217.34 million.
Since its creation in 2002, Gamma has rapidly become a dominant player in the UK communications market and increasingly on mainland Europe, where it is building up a family of companies across the continent.
In the UK, these businesses are cloud communications and contact centre technology specialists Mission Labs, Unified Comms and Microsoft Teams voice partner Exactive.
In Germany, Gamma owns HFO, one of the leading SIP Trunk and emerging Cloud PBX providers that has an excellent reputation for product quality and service. Headquartered in Oberkotzau, Bavaria, HFO operates nationwide in Germany through a reseller network of over 1,000 partners. Through its Epsilon brand, HFO is also a large B2B mobile distributor in Germany, offering mobile connections from all three major mobile network operators.

Gamma Communications Nederland (formerly Dean One and gnTel), is a telecom operator and Internet provider supplying hosted VoIP solutions, mobile and broadband services via 900+ channel partners to SMEs in the Benelux region. Other Dutch business units are Nimsys, an ICT specialist for workspaces and multi-tenancy buildings as well as Schiphol Connect, the telecom and Internet provider at Schiphol Airport in the Netherlands.
