Founded in 2002 with an initial focus specialising in IP infrastructure and telecom links, Tempura launched a video conferencing offering in 2008.
The Basingstoke business also has premises in Dublin and the Netherlands to provide simpler and faster access to Europe for its UK reseller base.
Following the acquisition, both Tempura Technology and Tempura Communications will become wholly owned subsidiaries of Northamber.
Managing director Matthew Light has agreed to continue with the business to assist initially with the integration of Tempura into the Northamber group and then to drive growth in the company’s unified communications offering.
