He said: “I’m thrilled to be the new Office Managing Partner for EY’s Reading office. I’d like to thank Richard for the great work he has done in successfully developing the business over the last seven years.

Gareth will take over the reins from Richard Baker following the completion of his seven-year tenure as Office Managing Partner. Richard will remain part of EY, continuing his work serving businesses.

Richard said: After 7 years in role, I have decided the time is right to stand down from my roles as EY's Managing Partner for the Thames Valley & South East region and the Reading office.

“I am delighted that Gareth Anderson is taking over from me - he and I have worked closely together for many years and I know he shares my passion for our regional economy and business community. Going forward I will continue to work with my clients in the region as well as my coaching and mentoring activities.”

Gareth's appointment is one of 10 senior appointments in EY's reading office.
