Berkshire trio feature on prestigious SIA Staffing 100 Europe List
Three Berkshire-based staffing professionals have been named in the Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA) Staffing 100 Europe List.
The annual list identifies those who are helping to shape the staffing industry in Europe. Those listed are accredited with being a positive influence in the world of work and helping navigate their firms through the constantly changing ecosystem.
The SIA-compiled list features entrepreneurs, CEOs, reformers, lawyers and businesspeople with a variety of talents and achievements from a range of staffing markets in the region.
David Leigh, Matthew Rodger and Melanie Forbes are the local representation on the prestigious list.
Melanie Forbes is the managing director of APSCo Outsource – a trade association that represents members’ interests while promoting quality and best practice across the outsourcing community – and lives in a village near Newbury.
Her expertise in the recruitment outsourcing sector is built on 25 years’ industry experience, which in 2021 led her to launch APSCo Outsource. She returns to the list for the second year running. APSCo’s Global CEO, Ann Swain, remains one of the founding members of the SIA Hall of Fame.
Melanie said: “It’s a real honour to be recognised alongside some of the most influential and visionary industry leaders in this year's SIA Staffing 100 Europe list.
“Since launching APSCo OutSource almost two years ago, the continued growth of the trade association and its wider-ranging client community is one of my greatest achievements and I am extremely grateful to the entire OutSource team who helped make this happen.
“One of my key aims was to very quickly ensure that APSCo OutSource becomes the go to trade body for end-clients looking to find reputable, reliable and fully vetted outsourced partners and service providers.
“Our intention is to involve clients, partners and service providers in discussions from the off to ensure we are all pushing in the same direction in finding innovative solutions to the many resourcing challenges businesses face.
“Our launch of the OutSource Client Community is just one step towards achieving this – with more collaborations on our radar for the coming year."

Two senior leaders at Bracknell-based talent outsourcing and advisory services provider, AMS have also been named in this year’s list: CEO David Leigh and Chief Growth & Commercial Officer Matthew Rodger.
With David at the helm, AMS has become a market leader in bridging the gap between technology and talent. AMS’ focus on technology has put them at the forefront of the sector’s digital transformation, helping them to aid increasing numbers of clients.
David Leigh said: “This is a great honour, not just for me but for everyone at AMS. Our focus on technology and digital enablement means we are well positioned to help our clients navigate the complexities of talent acquisition.
“We have deep expertise in this area which is paying dividends in allowing us to deliver solutions which not only meet the immediate needs of clients but their future requirements too. It’s a real point of difference for AMS and something I am particularly proud of.
“The strong position we have built in the EMEA & US markets has enabled us to attract new clients and expand the range of services we offer to existing clients”.
Matthew, who features on the list for the fourth year in succession, has helped AMS expand into the pharmaceutical and life sciences, renewables and digital and technology sectors.
He said: “It’s hugely humbling to be included on this distinguished list of professionals once again. AMS has enjoyed a very successful year to date, experiencing significant growth as our global footprint continues to expand organically and in addition, we completed the acquisition of our long-term partner in India, FlexAbility, renamed to ‘FlexAbility by AMS’.
“We are privileged to work with some of the biggest and most innovative companies in the world, partnering with them to deliver a diverse range of talent acquisition and advisory solutions across multiple sectors and geographies.”
