Oxfordshire-based tech accessories brand Juice has re-introduced to market one of its most exclusive ranges in 100 per cent recycled materials collected from oceans, beaches, and landfill sites.

Specifically designed for the ever-growing social media savvy generation, the collection of ring lights, selfie stands and tripods dubbed Juice Social caters for everyone – from those who simply enjoy taking the perfect selfie, to amateur Influencers, content creators and even professional Bloggers, YouTubers and Podcasters.

This range is the latest in a series to successfully make the switch from being manufactured from ‘virgin’ plastic to post-consumer waste – following the speakers, cables, power banks, wireless and core mains range – since the brand launched its Juice Made Mindfully’ campaign 12 months ago.

The campaign was created as an extension of the company’s ongoing sustainability initiative which saw Juice become the first mobile phone accessories manufacturer in the UK to remove all single-use plastic from its packaging in July 2020.

Despite this achievement, founder and CEO Jolyon Bennett wanted to go one step further in his mission to ‘do the right thing’ for the planet and focus his efforts on the products themselves.

Jolyon Bennett commented: “Although we were extremely proud of our 100 per cent recyclable packaging, we recognised we needed to do more.

“Our products were still made using virgin plastic which was a big ‘no’ for us, so we made the decision to start manufacturing every single product line – both old and new – using recycled waste collected from oceans, beaches and landfill sites, and re-introducing them to market.

“As a result, we now use 1,514km less material each year – that’s the distance from Juice HQ in Banbury to Barcelona – and have removed over 85 tonnes of virgin plastic from our supply chain in 2022 alone.

“We rolled out this ambitious project across our entire range five months ahead of schedule, making juice® the first mobile phone accessories manufacturer in the UK to eliminate all virgin plastic from its products.

“Now, Juice aims to continue leading the way as a trailblazer brand, flying the flag for sustainable technology and developing products that make a real impact on consumers’ lives – all whilst being a little bit kinder to planet Earth.”

With its signature bold packaging and colourful products, Juice has transformed the mobile phone accessories sector, having consistently introduced a series of quality, vibrant and consumer-focused products to market since its inception in 2012.

The Banbury-based firm has experienced growing recognition for its ongoing sustainability practices over the last 12 months after taking home the winner’s trophy at both the Mobile News Awards 2022 and Mobile Industry Awards 2022 for ‘Best Environmental Sustainability Initiative’ and ‘Sustainability Initiative of the Year’ respectively.
