South: Law firms singled out for private wealth expertise

Legal firms across the South have been praised for their work in private wealth law.

Blandy & Blandy LLP has been named as a top tier firm in Reading and the surrounding area for private wealth law in the 2018 edition of Chambers High Net Worth Guide.

The firm is recommended for advising on 'a wide spectrum of private wealth issues', including estate planning and administration, trusts issues, powers of attorney and Court of Protection matters.

According to the Guide, Blandy & Blandy's probate, tax & trusts team is 'very reliable' and 'a safe pair of hands' featuring 'very nice people to work with', while 'the client service is personalised, timely and very responsive.'

Partners Jonathan Gater and Caroline Casagranda and consultant Graham Benwell are each individually recommended in the Guide based on their expertise.

Leading South Coast law firm Lester Aldridge has been ranked in the same publication.

 

LA Marine, the specialist yachting and shipping team at Lester Aldridge, has been ranked in Chambers HNW 2018 for Yachts & Superyachts - Global-wide. A quote from a market insider from the directory says: “They really know their stuff, but are also have a very good personal approach and manner. They go over and above." Another client said: "They are very good and approachable, and get issues sorted out." Partner Louise Fuller is also ranked as a notable practitioner for yachts & superyachts - global-wide.

Additionally, the firm’s private client team has been ranked for private wealth law in the Southampton and surrounding region. One market commentator said: "They are very hands-on in making sure they attend meetings with the client; they make sure the client is very happy with the decisions being made." Another added: "I have known them for a long time and I feel that one of their strengths is that they are a substantial law firm and that they cover a wide range of areas."

Leading legal services provider Brethertons has also been named as one of the top law firms in the Oxford and Coventry regions for Private Wealth Law.

 The Chambers High Net Worth Guide researches and ranks the world’s best lawyers, particularly focusing on the international private wealth market. Brethertons has been ranked in Oxford and surrounds as well as Coventry and surrounds with one client praising the team, recalling that its ‘performance has been exceptional and carried out very professionally’.

Along with the firm, Emma Stewart, an associate solicitor in the Wills, Trusts and Probate department, has been ranked as a notable practitioner with the guide saying Emma is ‘reliable and efficient; clients feel comfortable with her advice.’ Customers report that they are ‘impressed by her professional yet friendly approach and the level of attention she gave’ and that ‘Emma's input has been invaluable to us; she has always been very professional and has always taken time to explain matters’.
