The HR Dept, Worcestershire.  Preventing People Problems.

Sara Marrett, Managing Director of The HR Dept., Worcestershire was absolutely thrilled when she heard that not only had her entry for the NWEDR ‘Celebrating North Worcestershire’ calendar competition been successful but it was to be featured on the cover of the 2020 edition.

“I put a bit of a creative spin on my entry this year, creating a Word Cloud that symbolised all that is great about working in North Worcestershire.  I’m delighted the judges liked it and was very proud to see my winning entry on the final printed versions!”

Part of The HR Dept.’s national network, Sara provides HR services for businesses across Worcestershire, including Worcester, Kidderminster, Droitwich and Bromsgrove.  Whether it is assistance required with employment contracts, managing tribunals or disciplinaries, or just general guidance on employment law, Sara is here to help.

“What I love about my job is the scope of the work I do and the variety in the clients I get to meet. I am very proud to work with some wonderful businesses across North Worcestershire, and I have witnessed first-hand what a great environment it is for business,” she says.

Having worked in HR for over 25 years, Sara prides herself on being both professional and approachable, providing expert advice that is bespoke for her clients. Another key strength is her flexibility.

“I tailor my services to meet the needs of my clients, whether this a monthly contract or ad hoc support as and when needed.  At The HR Dept. we understand the challenges that SMEs face and have developed a range of solutions to help take the stress out of HR management.”

One of the ways in which Sara can help is through a free ‘HR Health Check’ where she will review a business’s existing contracts of employment, policies and procedures.  Often, small changes made here can help prevent larger problems in the future.

“Having a firm foundation of clear policies and up to date procedures is critical in the effective management of employees,” says Sara. “I would recommend that these be reviewed on a regular basis.”

If this is something you feel your business might benefit please don’t hesitate to contact Sara – she will be delighted to hear from you!
