Accountants and business advisers James Cowper has been appointed auditor to The Fire Fighters Charity.
The charity helps over 4,500 serving and retired fire service personnel and their families every year, providing rehabilitation, support and recuperation for those that have suffered injury, illness, stress or bereavement. The Fire Fighters Charity also provides a dedicated helpline offering advice and guidance on a wide range of matters, and activity breaks for families with children with special care needs.
Mike Farwell, partner at James Cowper, added: “We are delighted and proud to have been appointed to this terrific charity. While based in Basingstoke, the charity works with current and past fire fighters across the country, and does an amazing job for men and women and their families who put their lives on the line daily.”
Martin Smith, finance director at the charity, said: “We look forward to working with James Cowper. The firm was selected because, first and foremost, they demonstrated that they could deliver an audit service that was of a high standard and competitively priced. They are also committed to working closely with us throughout the year.”
